“Fili d’erba”, Pedrali new automated warehouse, projected by CZA - Cino Zucchi Architetti, has been declared as winner of the “Iconic Award 2017” in “Architecture” category. “Fili d’erba” aims to be a specific response strongly related to the environment, a visual pattern facing up the different conditions of the surrounding countryside.
All four sides of the warehouse are faced by  aluminium panels that generate a visual pattern, like gigantic "blades of grass" that give rhythm, scale and measure to the blind surface of the facades.
The dull and uniform volume is thus transformed into a visual phenomenon rich in variations, a kind of natural "amplifier" of the time of the day and the seasons.
The award ceremony will be held in the BMW Welt during the Expo Real in Munich on 4 October 2017.
