“design dialogues” is a unique exhibition realized by maison&objet in collaboration with takashimaya and asahi shimbun aimed at celebrating french and japanese lifestyle through a cultural dialog. the first leg inaugurates on 3 march 2022 in tokyo nihombashi, followed by kyoto in april and finally nagoya in august.
the exhibition space will consist of more than 700 sqm housed in the prestigious setting of the takashimaya department stores, reflecting the spirit of maison&objet: supporting and celebrating design talents worldwide. three different areas will outline three different themes: first a retrospective of 25 years of celebration of great international designers: the “designers of the year awards”, the second area will host a presentation of current trends in decoration through a “what’s new” exhibition while the third one the connection between the most innovative design trends in france and japan with the exhibition of the winners of the rising talent awards.

within the first area we find patrick jouin with ila armchair, designed by the french designer for pedrali, a refined piece of furniture with a strong personality, expressing utmost comfort, softness and sensuality.
