for the 10th year, the collections of the italian company are staged in paris
Pedrali, the Italian manufacturer of contemporary design furniture for contract and residential projects, takes part in the 25th edition of Maison & Objet in Paris, the international event for home décor and interior design professionals, from 17 to 21 January.
The #PedraliPalaceofWonders booth, designed by the Milan based architectural studio Calvi Brambilla, welcomes visitors at the entrance of Hall 6 in Today Signature (Stand J2-K1), the section dedicated to the interior design that combines originality and innovation.
The stand covers a surface area of 160 sq.m and has a single volume with a markedly architectural feel; it features longitudinal openings set at a 45° angle that create seamless visual continuity between the inside and out; allowing visitors who are strolling along the corridors to peek in and set off on a journey to discover the “Palace of Wonders”.
Guests are welcomed in a lounge area furnished with pastel coloured seating units from the Buddy collection by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, combined with the low tables of the same collection, which contrast with the warm earthy hue of the floor.
Soul Soft, presented as absolute preview at Maison & Objet, is the new special version of the armchair with solid ash wood frame and polycarbonate shell, designed by Eugeni Quitllet in 2018. Soul Soft features a padded and upholstered shell in genuine leather. The new seating faithfully recalls the silhouette of the collection, which includes the outdoor version presented in 2019, subtly accentuating and enhancing its comfort.
The first set depicts a restaurant that, thanks to its style, recalls the world’s top restaurants. Héra, the armchair designed by Patrick Jouin, which embodies the concept of lightness fusing it with that of comfort and cosiness, takes centre stage. A century after the beginning of the legendary “Roaring Twenties”, main character on the scene together with Héra is Tamara suspension lamp by Basaglia Rota Nodari, named in homage to Tamara de Lempicka, the modernist painter and inspired to the shape of the headlights of early 20th-century automobiles. Inox tables, which this year are celebrating a special anniversary: 20 years from their presentation dated 2000, complete the set.
The second room outlines an urban restaurant. The split-level architecture is simple and the choice of elements such as the flooring and wall panelling recalls the place that influenced this set: the Jamaica collection by CMP Design.
Jazz seating collection, including the new chair, is the key feature of the set depicting a modern and welcoming bakery, whose bon-ton style is enhanced by the green walls matched with pink shades. The set is completed by Stylus tables and Giravolta wireless lightings by Basaglia Rota Nodari.
Within the exhibition area, blooming plants on the walls characterize an outdoor environment where the main protagonists are Remind, the innovative polypropylene chair designed by Eugeni Quitllet, and Tribeca by CMP Design. Tribeca is one of the products selected for the 2019 ADI Design Index and competes for the Compasso d’Oro 2020. The Elliot tables by Patrick Jouin, with their organic yet elegant forms, complete this composition. Near the outdoor area, it is possible to sit on Folk chair by CMP Design.
