Pedrali supports the ninth “Architects meet in Selinunte” conference to be held from 13 to 16 June 2019 in Selinunte, Sicily, in the largest Archaeological Park in Europe.
The meeting is entitled “Interior Landscape – Is the architectural crisis a crisis of ideas?” and is organised by AIAC (the Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism) and PresSTfactory. It provides a series of talks and conferences on the topic of Interior Landscape, with a dual meaning: on the one hand, the vast areas of Italy subject to degradation and depopulation, and on the other, the interiors - a topic often relegated to second place, which however allows the architect greater freedom of expression and experimentation. The debate will be fuelled by hundreds of architects from Italy and Europe.
The meeting will end with the awarding of the prestigious “Selinunte International Award”, granted every year to the designer or team of designers who brings particular prestige to the world of architecture. Past winners include: Daniel Libeskind, Massimiliano Fuksas, Mario Bellini, Benedetta Tagliabue, William Alsop, Allies and Morrison, Odile Decq, Dominique Perrault, RCR arquitectes.
Pedrali’s products set the stage for this important event, furnishing the key areas of the evocative Baglio Florio museum, in an area that seems suspended in space and time. Jorge Pensi's Ara armchairs and Patrick Jouin's Elliot coffee table furnish the Pedrali corner located in the colonnade. Moreover, the chairs, armchairs and sofas of the Tribeca collection and the Nolita tables, both designed by CMP Design, create a pleasant relaxation area in the central courtyard. The atmosphere is completed by wireless Giravolta lamps by Basaglia Rota Nodari.
