His expressive language evolves from a minimalist matrix and from an essentially logical composition to a formal, elaborate and communicative research. The elegance of the sign and the harmony of the shapes are the common denominator of his projects. Regarding the product designed for Pedrali, Casini states, "we have worked on a linear and simple shape but with meticulously modeled details, which confer richness to the product and a resistant structure. It is a kind of product that is intended to last over time".

Luca Casini studied in Florence and Milan, where he graduated in architecture in 1996. He established his studio in 1997 working with major industrial groups in America and Europe and he held lessons for a few years at the Polytechnic of Milan, the University of Industrial Design. He has designed eyewear products and fashion accessories, cutlery and handles. Part of the studio is dedicated to the development of industrial products for different sectors ranging from electronics to perfume packaging, to health-care products.

Over the years, Casini has received numerous international awards, such as the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award, the Design Plus and the Baden Wuerttemberg Design Award, while some of his products have been exhibited in museums and exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
