Nolita chairs designed by CMP Design take center stage at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo as part of the Donizetti Opera Festival 2023
During the year of Bergamo and Brescia as Italian Capital of Culture, contemporary art bursts into a setting that, for the first time, combines the Fondazione Teatro Donizetti with the GAMeC of Bergamo in Donizetti's Il Diluvio Universale. This sacred-themed opera, composed in 1830 for the Real Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, will be performed on Friday November 17, at the Teatro Donizetti, with additional performances on Saturday November 25 and Sunday December 3.

In the opera, biblical events intertwine with the personal feelings of the protagonists, and the final cataclysm becomes the starting point for a nuanced reflection on one of today's most pressing themes: the sustainability of the human footprint on planet Earth. This aligns with the theme “La città natura” of the Capital project. Within this context the scenic backdrop is complemented by 20 Nolita chairs designed by CMP Design in the anthracite grey shade. These chairs are an integral part of a range of outdoor seats that evoke the origins of a historical journey started by Mario Pedrali in 1963 with his first metal garden chairs.

Through this initiative, Pedrali continues its path aimed at enhancing cultural projects #pedrali4culture.
